Welcome to my teaching portfolio! Here, you’ll find my teaching statements, course materials, CV, and a general understanding of my teaching philosophy.

My Teaching

A key theme you’ll find when looking through my teaching history is empathy. I think that, in order to effectively teach students, it is necessary to start by putting in the time and effort needed to understand who they are and where they come from, so that you can tailor your methods to what is effective for them.

This way of thinking has often driven me to challenge existing paradigms. I believe strongly in the power of active learning and alternative grading practices, and you’ll find both in my course materials.

I have significant instructional experience through my time as a teaching assistant. I was awarded my department’s Best Teaching Assistant Award in 2025, and I am frequently asked to fill in for instructors at my university when they aren’t available, having been called in to give several lectures and run lab sections on my own. I’m always interested in opportunities for learning and leadership: I’ve had extensive conversations with faculty and peers about teaching strategies as part of Northwestern’s Reflective and Effective Teaching program, and I’m currently putting what I’ve learned to work as part of the Graduate Teaching Fellows program. For more information on my teaching history and awards, take a look at my CV!

I am currently approaching the end of my time as a Ph.D. student. I would be very interested in positions involving teaching, particularly for engineering topics like circuits, microprocessors, FPGAs, and similar topics. If you would like to get in touch with me about an opportunity, feel free to contact me!
